Hand Painted production anime cel used in the making of the Sailor Moon Classic season. If you are unfamiliar with animation cels, they are hand painted frames of animation that were used to make an animated series of film. Each production cel or sketch represents part of the movement process and are hand painted or hand drawn by animators so no two are exactly alike. They're a lot like movie props. This is a shot of Usagi holding Luna and exiting Yusuke Amade's car from Episode 6. This is a single layered cel labled B9 and comes with the matching douga sketch. Cel has obvious line fading and has residue from being stuck to rice paper at one point. There's still rice paper in the unpainted area of the cel between usagi's tails and shoulder and there is a dent in the unpainted acetate in one of those gaps. Sketch has a small tear at the top but is otherwise in good shape. First image is cropped for detail, second is the full cel, third is a similar (but not quite matching) screenshot from the episode. This is a nice early series, early episode shot of Usagi and Luna perfect for any Sailor Moon cel collection.
