Shipping and Policy Information
February 2025 Shipping and Policy Update: Due to a changing and volatile climate in the US and globally we can currently only ship to the US.
5 Business Day Handling Time
We specify an up to 5 business day handling time on all orders shipped within the US. To clarify, it can be up to five week days BEFORE your item will be SHIPPED out, not 5 days before you should get it.
If you need an item shipped sooner than that please ask us prior to making a purchase, we will try to get your item out asap if you need it for a gift or other time sensitive reasons, but you need to tell us this before ordering. Our shipping time fluctuates quite a bit depending on the time of your order, but generally expect it to take it up to 2 weeks to arrive unless you've contacted us.
Our actual handling time typically averages out to 2-3 days but we can't guarantee that, which is why we specify 5. We encourage all buyers to contact us if they have any questions about the predicted ship time prior to purchase.

Shipping to US Only
As of February 2025 we are only shipping to the US. Circumstances beyond our control have forced us to stop shipping abroad entirely.
We have no idea when we'll be able to resume global shipping so, if we're not able to ship to you directly, we suggest using a shipping forwarding service (for example Reship *) or a deputy service.

Carbon Neutral Shipping
To help counter the effects of climate change and shipping pollution we use Shopify Planet to offset carbon on every shipment. To learn more about Shopify's offsets and climate partners for this program go here.
Reused Packaging
To reduce waste most of our packaging in recycled and reused. As a result of this our shipping materials may contain unidentified fragrances or other allergens. We try to discard anything that has a noticeable smell but we can't guarantee that any packaging is safe! If you are sensitive to fragrances please leave us a note at checkout and we will attempt to use all new packaging for your order. Additionally, all our items including packaging are kept in a smoke free but pet friendly environment.
Shipping Costs
We are shipping from the United States, State of Minnesota. Shipping Costs are calculated using USPS and UPS rate tables dependent on weight and location, we do not set most of them directly so if you're unhappy with shipping cost it's unlikely we can change it. USPS rates keep changing so if you think you're getting charged more than before, you probably are.
We generally try to give out partial refunds in rare cases where actual shipping cost is substantially less than the paid shipping costs. If you have any questions about predicted ship cost please contact us prior to purchase.
Risk of Loss
Unless otherwise noted, once Avane (the seller) has handed off your order to the carrier (the USPS or UPS unless otherwise noted) for delivery, the risk of loss and title of the products purchased passes to you (the buyer). We always suggest using Priority Mail if you are worried about loss or damage as it comes with insurance up to $50, if you want full insurance on orders over $50 please contact us about additional insurance options.
Holiday Shipping
We update our Christmas shipping schedule every year in November. To check our current holiday shipping schedule check this page. If you need something shipped for any other holiday just contact us and we'll let you know what we can do.
