Original production cel from a vintage Purina commercial from either the eighties or late seventies. If you're unfamiliar with animation cels, they are hand painted frames of animation that were used to make an animated series of film. Each production cel or sketch represents part of the movement process and are hand painted or hand drawn by animators so no two are exactly alike. They're a lot like movie props.
This is a multi-layer hand drawn animation cel was used to make a Purina commercial (though we haven't been able to find the commercial). Bottom layer is the main image of the cat and his accessories. Top layer is just extra detail lines. Cel has some damage including some rolling and a visible bend in the top layer and some tears in the top. The 2 layers are taped together at the bottom. The registration holes didn't fit in the scanner but are present and this cel appears to be labled 342. Overall though the central image still looks good. This very fun piece for any cel or advertising memorabilia collection.
