This box was intended to promote the Final Fantasy XI Chains of Promathia expansion on the PC. This looks basically like the PC box for the game (we don't have one handy to check against to see if there are any differences) but was originally meant to be displayed empty in game stores to get pre-orders. This box is flat and has never been put together, it's still as it was originally shipped to retailers. It's been in storage since 2004 and has some minor wear on the edges, a bit of bend in the lower flap, and some marks and discoloration on the unprinted white part of the top flap. Condition issues sound worse than they look, overall this looks great in person. This has beautiful Yoshitaka Amano art and would look great on display in a game room. This is a unique collectible perfect for any Final Fantasy fan.
