Shipping and Policy Information

2021 Shipping and Policy Update: During the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, Avane is still open and accepting orders but due to USPS changes, shipping times will be longer and items may not be scanned as often. International orders especially are delayed and taking longer to arrive even after they ship. We are no longer able to ship to ANY addresses in the UK due to Recent changes in how VAT is collected. We hope to resume UK shipments at some point in the future. We are otherwise still happy to ship worldwide but cannot guarantee when packages will arrive.

We specify an up to 5 business day handling time on all orders shipped within the US. Up to 10 business days for all items shipped internationally, including APO.

To clarify, it can be up to five week days BEFORE your item will be SHIPPED out, not 5 days before you should get it.
If you need an item shipped sooner than that please ask us prior to making a purchase, we will try to get your item out asap if you need it for a gift or other time sensitive reasons, but you need to tell us this before ordering. Our shipping time fluctuates quite a bit depending on the time of your order, but generally expect it to take it up to 2 weeks to arrive unless you've contacted us.
Our actual handling time typically averages out to 2-3 days but we can't guarantee that which is why we specify 5. We encourage all buyers to contact us if they have any questions about the predicted ship time prior to purchase.

We ship worldwide, except for the UK. As of January 1st, 2021 VAT regulations have changed and as a result we are no longer able to ship to any UK address. We are still shipping to the EU, but our prices do not include VAT and we do not collect it at any point in the purchase process, you will be charged VAT and any of your country's relevant charges when your item arrives in your country. We do not have any control over VAT costs and fees and encourage buyers in countries which are subject to VAT to check their local fee structure before ordering so there aren't any surprises. Otherwise, if for some reason you don't see your country on the list when you go to checkout please contact us. Generally speaking, Wherever you are in the world, we're absolutely happy to ship to you!
Due to COVID-19 and other problems facing the USPS, international shipments are currently facing significant delays, sometimes sitting in customs for months. We can not guarantee delivery times on any international shipments currently. Pleases keep this in mind if you attempt to do any Holiday ordering!

To reduce waste most of our packaging in recycled and reused. As a result of this our shipping materials may contain unidentified fragrances or other allergens. Additionally, all our items are kept in a smoke free but pet friendly environment. We recycle or dispose of any packaging that has any noticeable odors, but we can't guarantee they'll always be fragrance free, so if you are particularly sensitive to scents it could present a problem. Please send us a note if you know it could be an issue for you and we'll do our best to only use new supplies for your package.

We are shipping from the United States, State of Minnesota. Shipping Costs are calculated using USPS rate tables dependent on weight and location, we do not set most of them directly so if you're unhappy with shipping cost it's unlikely we can change it. USPS rates keep changing so if you think you're getting charged more than before, you probably are. This will be especially true for international customers.
If your shipping costs paid are $5 or more over actual cost we will refund the difference. If you have any questions about predicted ship cost please contact us prior to purchase.

To be eligible for a refund all items must be returned at the buyers expense in the exact same condition they were sent in. Any returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

If you cancel an order within 24 hours we will issue a full refund. If you cancel an order after the initial 24 hours but prior to ship time we will refund with a 5% restocking fee.

If we send out an incorrect item or a not as described item we will send a full refund after the item is returned to us.

We are not responsible for packages damaged by the Postal Service. We highly encourage buyer who are purchasing expensive and/or rare items to either choose either a shipping service which includes insurance (Priority Mail includes $50 worth of insurance and Priority Express includes $100 worth of insurance) or to contact us about putting optional insurance on your order. Insurance is the only means of making the US Postal Service pay for a missing or damaged item. Most items arrive safely so we don't suggest additional insurance on items under $50 but if you opt not to pay for postal insurance there's unfortunately nothing we can do for you if an item is damaged in transit.

We do not take any returns for any disc based media for any reason. Please review all information in regards to the condition of the disc you are buying.

We update our Christmas shipping schedule every year at the end of November to check our current holiday shipping schedule check this page. If you need something shipped for any other holiday just contact us and we'll let you know what we can do.
