About Us

Our name Avane, pronounced Av-an-nay, is Gaelic for lovely Wares. Which is exactly what we buy & sell! We used to have a special emphasis on animation artwork but, we've expanded into buying & selling all manner of vintage geekery! We Specialize in rare and vintage toys, anime, comics, video game goods, 80s character goods, 90s character goods & other collectibles. Our most popular categories are Sailor Moon, Mario Brothers, and My little Pony, but we sell everything from Disney to Power Rangers, to Garfield, to Dragon Ball Z. We might just have the little piece of nostalgia you've been missing!

We're collectors before we're sellers so we're usually very knowledgeable about the items we have available and if we're not we do our research. Being that we are collectors, we know how we like to be treated when we're purchasing the next big item to complete our set so we always strive to give accurate descriptions, and pack carefully. All that being said we are just people so sometimes our normal life gets in the way of our selling. We are an officially licensed, full business, but we still have other jobs, so sometimes questions might take awhile to get answered or shipping may be slower than predicted or any number of unforeseen events. But, we always try to make it right in the end.

Please note that most of the items we sell are vintage collectibles often more than a decade old so please expect some wear and discoloration. We will always try to note when these things are present or if something has survived in mint shape, but we want to make sure you're doubly aware. We're always happy to take additional pictures as well so please ask by emailing us at avane@avaneshop.com if you want to see another angle or a specific aspect more clearly.
